About Me

I wasn’t sure where to start with this blog.. Obviously I have some of my travels over on InstaBritain, but PostcardsByHannah has always been more personal.

I decided to start with an ‘about me’, not that I expect many to be too interested! Firstly, my name is Hannah (shocking!), I am 26 years old and I live in Hertfordshire with my husband. I grew up in rural Northamptonshire, in fact you can pin my village on a map as it is where three counties meet (Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire). We had a dog called Tommy and it was very much village life.

Despite my love for green fields and wonky cottages, I was always resentful growing up somewhere so small, mostly as there was no shop to buy chocolate from! Now I am older I realise how fortunate I was. Oh I wish I could live in a village now…

My love affair with Instagram has been going on for a fair few years now, but it was in September 2015 I began the InstaBritain travel account. I was on a weekend break in Liverpool and wanted a place to share my photos without spamming my personal account! It grew bigger than I thought, then I decided to start my postcards account so my followers could get to know me better.

Despite my love of Britain, I do leave the country fairly regularly, I am a bit of a travel bug!

This blog will be my place to share my love for travel and hopefully inspire others! 🙂 x
