The Most Instagrammable Restaurants in Glasgow

If you don’t know the area, Glasgow may not be the first place on your list for Instagrammable restaurants, but that changes here… There are so many old and new eateries in the city that make the most picture perfect backdrop to any meal!

Below is my list of the most Instagrammable restaurants in Glasow.

Derby Lane

Derby Lane is not only the prettiest spot in town, but it is run by the sweetest people! I stumbled upon the cafe/restaurant totally by chance when embarking on a long morning walk, I walked past and noticed the pretty facade so decided to take a peek inside.

Derby Lane is a Hamptons-style eatery, which serves breakfast, brunch & lunch, afternoon teas and dinners, creating the perfect space for date nights, girls brunch, solo visits and cocktail time!

Panang

Brand new in 2021, Panang is an epic Thai Restaurant located in the heart of Glasgow. The restaurant specialises in Thai street food and small plates but also happens to be beautifully decorated with colourful paper lanterns, neon lights and even a stunning wall mural of Bangkok’s famous Jay Fai.

The menu offers a huge variety of Thai dishes, I had the Thai Red Curry, Sticky Beed, Special Fried Rice and the Sweet Chilli Chicken, I would happily recommend them all and I can’t wait to return!

Market Coffee

Created by fashion and interiors blogger Kate Spiers, there is no wonder Market Coffee makes the perfect square on any Instagram feed. Located on the city’s southside, Market Coffee comes with neon pink signage, rose gold cutlery and picture perfect sweet treats.

Check out the opening times on their Instagram @marketgla so you’re not left disappointed!

Spuntini

Known as Glasgow’s best Italian restaurant, there are two Spuntini locations in the city and both are as equally beautiful as each other but with sightly different menus.

Your eyes are drawn to Spuntini as soo as you see it on the street thanks to the pink cherry blossom that will catch the attention of anyone. Look further inside and the restaurant has been built around an even larger cherry blossom tree than what you see on the outside!

The Ivy

Offering the most picturesque afternoon tea in the city, the Ivy has become a firm favourite around the country thanks to its flavoursome seasonal dishes and pretty decor.

Afternoon tea is served daily between 3pm and 5pm and includes freshly baked fruit scones, vanilla meringue butterfly cakes, chocolate caramel flower pots, a selection of teas and even more. For those celebrating something, you can upgrade to include champagne!
