It doesn’t have to be tropical to be romantic, imagine waking up to undisturbed views of snowy mountains and dipping into in hot spas to wake you up. Deplar Farm, located in the country’s far north, is completely off grid and ready for those wanting to escape from the stresses of everyday life and immerse themselves into nature.

Lovers can cosy up by the fire each evening after a day of horse-riding, skiing, fishing, cycling.. you name it, there’s not much you can’t do (except maybe sunbathing!). It’s not easy picking out the most romantic hotel in the Maldives, as they all have their selling points to couples, but how many have their own private island for couples to escape to?
