The cottage is surrounded by National Trust land, perfect for long dog walks and adventures. Corner Thatch is a delightfully unique Grade II listed cottage in a picturesque Worcestershire village. Much of the period features remain, including exposed timber beams, leaded windows, slate tiled floors and a brick fireplace with a bread oven. This old post office was originally built in the 17th century

The Dovecote – Pauntley, Gloucestershire

Located in the grounds of Elizabethan Pauntley Court, the Dovecote is one of the most beautiful cottages to stay in the Cotswolds, dating back to the 1300s and still boasting many of the original features.

Pauntley Court is oozing in history, being the birthplace of Dick Whittington who become Lord Mayor of London four times, making this cottage stay all the more interesting. Guests have privileged access to the formal gardens which include a walled garden, cloister garden, sunken garden with an ornamental pong, as well as a ruin garden, all laid out in an Elizabethan style.

This charming detached cottage is surrounded by tranquil farmland, half a mile from the nearest road so offers a peaceful escape for those looking to get away from it all.
